Survey – Virtual Courtrooms

The Courts Service is continuing its modernisation journey as it refines its approach to facilitating the administration of justice in an evolving digital space.  It is therefore incumbent upon Courts Service to produce solutions that will effectively service the long term need of our users – both internal and external.

To this end we would welcome your opinions and thoughts to better understand the challenges, opportunities and benefits that use of virtual courtrooms present by completing this survey:   https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VirtualCourtroom   This link will also be on Courts.ie and please feel free to share with any courtroom users.

A key pillar of the future Courts’ vision is the provision of a Remote Courts platform of which virtual courtrooms are a component, and the Courts Service is conducting a stakeholder engagement process to gather and verify requirements across the wider virtual courtroom users of which this survey is a part.   To meet the expected stakeholder requirements, deliver efficiencies and align with the published  Courts’ Modernisation Program, this will likely result in the requirement of major financial investment on behalf of the Courts Service and significant reshaping of existing Courts operating procedures and models and we need to ensure, with your input, that any future solution fits these criteria.

Many thanks for you help.
